“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" Hebrews 13:8
Beliefs
We do not claim that the statement of faith is equal to the Bible, but it is a safeguard against false teaching and also to preserve truth and sound doctrine.
The Bible
We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and that holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost to write the complete revelation of God to man. There are no new revelations of inspired books apart from and beyond the Holy Bible. The Holy Scriptures are the only infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God; and they only constitute the Divine rule of faith and practice (Deuteronomy 8:3; 2 Timothy 3:15,16; 2 Peter 1:20,21).
God
We believe there is only one true God, who is eternally self-existent, holy, righteous, loving, just, and true, Creator of all things; both visible and invisible. He has revealed Himself as a trinity, that is, one being existing in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost. They are co-eternal, co-existent, co-equal, omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere present), and omnipotent (all powerful) (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 139; Matthew 28:18-20; John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16,17).
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity and humanity of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God and Son of man, meaning that he is fully God and fully man; one person with two natures. We affirm His virgin birth, His stainless nature, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary sacrificial atonement through His precious shed blood and death on the cross, His literal bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven at the Father's right hand interceding for all believers until His Second Coming (Matthew 1:18,23; 28:5,6; Luke 24:36-40; John 1:1-3,14; Acts 1:9-11; 2:22; Romans 5:11; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 1:16,17; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 7:25).
The Fall
We believe God created man (Adam and Eve) perfect and without sin, but through deception by Satan and disobedience to God they became depraved and corrupt. As a result of their fall all men (mankind) are born (sinners) with a sinful nature, separated from God and are subject to His wrath and condemnation which is death (spiritual, physical, eternal) (Genesis 3:1-15; Psalm 51:5; Matthew 25:30,41,46; Romans 3:23; 5:12; 6:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9).
Salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, the only Saviour of the world, and redeemer of all mankind. In order for one to be saved, justified, forgiven of his sins, and escape the wrath and condemnation of God, he must have a personal born-again experience whereby there is repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, and His finished work on Calvary (John 3:3,16-18; 14:6; Acts 4:12; 20:21; Romans 5:1; 10:9,10). Man must be regenerated and renewed by the Holy Ghost at the time of personal salvation, and "He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself..." (1 John 5:10; Titus 3:5).
Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is an instant and progressive work whereby one is separated from the world, sin, and the devil, and is dedicated and consecrated unto God. The Holy Ghost enables one to live a victorious and holy life without which no man shall see the Lord (John 3:3; Romans 8:1; 12:1,2; Philippians 3:12-14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 10:10,14; 12:14; 1 John 4:4).
The Baptism with the Holy Ghost
We believe that a believer needs to be endued with power from on high, the promise of the Father to every believer to be witnesses and servants of Jesus Christ; which is called the baptism with the Holy Ghost. The initial, physical evidence of one being baptized with the Holy Ghost is always speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives them utterance (Matthew 3:11; Luke 24:49; John 14:16,17,26; Acts 1:5-8, 2:1-4,38,39; 10:44-48; 11:15,16; 19:1-6).
Divine Healing
We believe that divine healing is provided for all believers in the atonement of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and that complete deliverance from all sickness and infirmity is available through believing prayer and faith in God (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:16,17; Mark 16:15-18; James 5:13,16).
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion which is an outward act of a previous inward experience of salvation, whereby one testifies to the death of their old lifestyle of sin, rising to walk in righteousness and newness of life through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:36; Romans 6:3,4; 1 Peter 3:21).
The Lord's Supper
We believe that partaking of the Lord's Supper is a commandment of Christ for all believers as a memorial whereby we remember His suffering and death on the cross and earnestly await His soon return (Matthew 26:26-30; 1 Corinthians 11:22-26).
The Rapture
We believe in the pre-millennial, pre-tribulational rapture of the church, which occurs at the first phase of the Second Coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, when the dead in Christ are resurrected and are caught up with the living saints that are changed to meet the Lord in the air. This great event, called the "blessed hope" is both literal and imminent (Matthew 24-25:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; 5:9; Titus 2:3).
The Second Coming and the Tribulation
We believe in the physical, bodily, second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to this earth with His saints appearing to all men after the seven year period of the Great Tribulation. (During the Great Tribulation, when God's wrath will be poured out upon the earth, the Church (saints) will be in Heaven. At this time the marriage supper of the Lamb takes place and the saints are judged at the judgment seat of Christ and will receive rewards according to their works) (2 Corinthians 5:1-11; Revelation 19:6-9). He will then judge the nations and establish a literal thousand year rule of peace called the millennial reign (Daniel 9:24-27; Joel 1:15; Matthew 24:21; 25:31-46; Acts 1:9-11; Jude 14,15; Revelation 6:17; 19:11-21; 20:4-6).
Heaven and Hell
We believe in the literal eternal lake of fire (hell) that will endlessly punish those that are judged at the great white throne judgement and have rejected God's offer of salvation. We believe for those who receive God's plan of salvation by repenting of their sins, and accepting His Son Jesus Christ into their hearts by faith, there is everlasting life in heaven, and later in the New Jerusalem when God will create new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness (Matthew 25:49; John 3:3; 3:36; Romans 10:9-10; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 14:10,11; 20:11-15; 22:1-5).
Marriage
We believe marriage is a holy institution only and exclusively between a man and a woman that is ordained by God which is binding for life, giving neither partner a right to marry again as long as the first companion lives (Mark 10:6-12; Romans 7:1-3). If one divorces and marries another this constitutes adultery (moichao), and if one marries the divorced this is also adultery (Matthew 19:9). In reality, in the sight of God, these are not marriages but adulterous relationships as long as they continue in them while the first companion liveth (Matthew 19:1-12; Romans 7:2,3). Therefore, if the first spouse dies while one is presently living a divorce and remarried state, they need to make a marriage commitment for the first time. Failure to do so would result in one living a life of fornication, due to the fact that the previous vows were void and of non-effect in the sight of God (Romans 7:1-3). The only exception clause for divorce and remarriage is fornication (porneia), found in Matthew5:32; 19:9. In this context fornication is pre-martial unchasity referring to Jewish custom of betrothal (i.e. Joseph and Mary; Matthew 1:18,19). Therefore, there is no exception clause for divorce and remarriage after the marriage covenant. It is God's will and desire that marriages be restored, and that those that have experienced divorce and remarriage repent and turn from their sin, receiving the forgiveness of God, and if possible, be reconciled and reunited to their first companion, or remain single faithfully serving our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:31,32; 19:1-12; Luke 16:15-18; 18:27; 1 Corinthians 7:10,11).
Bible Version
Due to the present confusion, division, and increasing growth of liberalism within evangelicalism, we want our leadership to be united in encouraging all believers in the usage of the King James Version of the Bible in English; and other foreign language translations, translated from the Greek Textus Receptus that underlines the King James Version, which is primarily based upon the the overwhelming majority of all New Testament Greek manuscripts called the Majority Text (Matthew 24:35).
Popular Sins and Ideologies
As a result of the moral decay in our society it is necessary for us to be united in our stand against popular sins, and ideas that are contrary to the teachings and principles of the Word of God such as; the use of alcohol, illicit drugs (incl. Marijuana), tobacco, gambling, pornography, fornication (porneia), common law relationships, adultery (moichao), divorce and remarriage, homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, transgenderism, non binary, abortion, euthanasia, racism, feminism, the ecumenical movement, inclusive language (relating to God, the Holy Scriptures, and worship), New Age philosophy, the occult, and from every appearance of evil that is not in accordance with the Word of God. We believe anyone involved in these practices and ideas can find deliverance and freedom through repentance and faith alone in Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Galatians 5:19-21;etc)
